제주 4.3 사건은 1947년을 기점으로 하여 발생합니다. 1947년 미국과 소련의 갈등은 더욱 심화됩니다. 몽양 여운형, 장덕수 등 사회 인사들이 저격을 당한 해이기도 합니다. 1947년 서울은 경기도에서 분리 독립하여 서울특별자치시로 승격되기도 하였습니다. 이 해에는 유명한 미국 로스엘 UFO 추락 사건이 일어나기도 했습니다.
