GAJIROC 2024 SPRING SUMMER

Gajirok means more and more in pure Korean. GAJIROC, started by director Gi-tae Hong, who worked as a designer at EVAN KINORI after majoring in menswear design and pattern making in San Francisco, believes that all of our items wear out over time and become unique as they become personal items. . That's why such items can be a tool to hold memories and also a tool to show traces.
All products provided by Gajirok are created based on this belief and the idea of slow fashion, based on design that can be enjoyed for a long time regardless of trends and durability that can be used for a long time.
Fatigue Jacket - Mud Dyed

"A new approach to puttig jackets"

Unlike first-generation or second-generation U.S. military puttig jackets, this is a Fatigue Jacket - Mud Dyed inspired by the features of the fourth-generation puttig jacket.
For natural dyeing, both fabric and sewing thread were made from Japanese lip-stop fabric and sewing thread made of cotton, and after making the puttig jacket, it was pre-dyed with indigo and colored with dark die in a unique way on Amami Oshima Island.

This mud die, called Dorojomerae, is minced into small pieces of sweet wood and boiled for 14-16 hours to brew the extract, and mixed with limestone powder to proceed with the first dyeing. After that, it goes through the process of dyeing with the island's mud, where the island's mud meets the tannins of the sweet tree and forms a deep color. After the dyeing is completed, go up to the mountain and rinse it in clean valley water 80 to 100 times to repeat the drying process until the desired color comes out.
- The size may have an error of 1~2cm depending on the measurement method.
